I am sorry that i haven't posted any news on the filter yet, i have been busy with work and other projects and this has been delayed.
Tonight i will try and sort out a linear supply and do some listening.
Thank you Frans and Javier!!

Well this is the concoction i managed in about two hours right after work. Initial results (with trimpots all the way to the right is absolutely fabulous, there is clarity there wasn't before! I need to listen to the HE-500's with variations in the trimpots, but i like it as it is. Any suggestions? Also any suggestions for a nice aluminium box (silver is preferred) (only for the filter board supply i will leave in the other box). Thanks again Frans for a wonderful solution!!

May I ask where you got the green rca cables? Nice looking build.

Thank You! The green rca cables are Belden 1694A. They are usually used for digital/video applications but they are also very good as analog rca interconects. I bought mine from thomann www.thomann.de/gr/index.html?sid=91c9af692bc60955385a95ce1cad6da0 but can get them from Blue Jean cables also www.bluejeanscable.com/store/shopbycable/1694A.htmIt is one of the best choices for emi rejection if you have this problem. I had bought many meters and have many interconnects some over 5m back then when my preamp was some distance away from my power amps. Now i use shorter pairs and like the Mogami Neglex 2534 Quad for interconects. By the way still very happy with the filter, i use it now adjusted just a little off the full counterclock wise position (in the previous post i made a mistake i meant all the way to the LEFT).

Hi guys I got 90% of the needed parts (electronic ones, connectors, switch, etc) to build up a complete filter for my HD600 Senny. Give a look, gonna be a long night! Still looking for a nice but not too big aluminum enclosure...

It is designed to be built into a Hammond 1457C1201 enclosure.
I wish my workbench would ever look as organised as yours ...

I will give a look to that enclosure, thanks Frans. Here top and bottom filter board: I have still to solder 3x 47uF electrolitic caps and the DCDC

A quick question Frans. For C3, C4 and C5 caps I got 47uF 63V 105C; for the C3 the 63V rating is a bit too low considering your advice in the filter manual about using 1,5x the input voltage which in my case is 48Vdc?

That's sort of a rule to be on the extremely safe side. 63V rated caps will do fine on 48V as it is 15V higher than what's on there.

Even because I noticed that going from 63V to 100V rated caps leads to a significant encrease of the diameter of the caps which in this case is critical due to the available space..so 63V here we go!
