Peter Case - Cold Trail Blues Really like this one, one to learn. Do you play guitar Alan? I tried about 5 years ago and eventually gave up, I may have to pick it back up and have another go? if I ever get a spare millisecond

Acoustic Guitar Sessions Presents Peter Case Hi Chris that's a good shout and a good listen, so I went looking for him. Here's a wee bit of chat by him about two years ago. I like the fact that he still has the same hat from 1986, that and his 12 string guitar must be his trademark?

Bit of a coincidence. Was popping in to post a Melody Gardot track myself!
Ode to the Nighthawk aka Your Heart Is As Black As Night
And the title track from Superchunk's new album. Hard to believe these guys have been going for almost 30 years now as they still sound as vital now as they did back in the day.
NB. there are a few F Bombs on this one.

Hi Chris I'd hardly say play but yes I have a nice Gibson Jumbo from 1964 purchased new then. It's taken a back seat though since I built myself a 000 acoustic to a design in Guitar and Bass Mag finished it 2009 and played it most days over the next 7 years don't take it down much now as my hands are not as supple as they used to be and the finger tips soon get soft again if you don't play regularly. I'ts amazing how you will come on at the playing if you persevere and practise every day so stick at it.
Here's one to learn.

"Jimmy Brown the Newsboy" played by Norman Blake If I tried to play that for 50 years I still would not be able to play it I have a Yamaha Pacifica electric guitar that has not been picked up for at least 5 years I also had a Fender acoustic guitar but sold that. I had to google the Gibson Jumbo - Thomman are selling some at 4 & 5K. I found the maths side of playing difficult - i'm rubbish at maths. I found the theory OK and passed level 1 & 2 with 100% then the maths came in again for level 3 and I gave up. I will need a hobby once I finally get around to retiring (4 more years) so I will probably give it another go?

Hi Chris,
I play by ear in other words I'm a duffer at reading music and usually tell people I only play for my own amazement.
here is a lad playing the exact same model Gibson J200 I have, serial numbers are quite close. By the way in 1964 it cost me around £340.
