are you going to build it yourself? :-)

Well... related to the DRM, this summer I bought 2 audiobooks on iTunes, and I did not know anything about the DRM.
The result is that I cannot listen to them on my Android phone, I cannot listen to them on my main stereo system via my linux server, and I will be only able to listen to them as soon as I have an iPod (which is getting rather old). For 25 EUR that I paid for each of these audiobooks I would expect a little bit more...especially when it wasn't me going for torrent sources!
But what do I know!

Isn't MQA also some form of (hated by me) DRM?

Yes, you are right. I guess I thought that if Senn decided to increase the price world wide due to the massdrop units, it would also affect Europe. I think I can be very happy then of the deal I got on a pair of "once used" HD650...I paid significantly less than that in December thanks to oldson's heads-up! :-)

May the release of the hd6xx be partly responsible for this?

At the moment I am on vacation in Spain :-) I am planing to source a dac too, my Nano died just before Christmas but I didn't dare to order anything online given the proximity of this trip. My curiosity and expectation about the filtered HD650 remain though! i doubt you will regret it! Given my (very) positive experience with the filter module for the HE400i I am quite convinced the effect will be remarkable :-)

It seems they just removed the coax out and the filter selection switched (at least on the physical aspect). Also very interesting...

Fulla-2 is available from the EU (Dutch) Schiit site. 125 EUR + 20 EUR shipping.

Just received my new (second-hand) HD650 :-) Unfiltered so far, but I quite like what I hear. The mid-range is wonderful. I can only imagine how the lift of the sub-bass (fro the filter module) will make these perform.

Thanks Javier, Yes, I would be using linux through the ALSA "direct hardware interface, all conversions done by hardware".
Then the Fulla-2 sound like a very good compromise in a similar form factor as the Nano.

Thanks Frans, I did not even know that there was a second version of the Fulla :-) But isn't it better to go for the modi-2? At least I get the RCA output, if that is of any advantage...

Umm, today it was pretty boring in the office without my music....
Considering alternatives to replace the Nano. Horrible month to do so though :-( I guess I could aim for something like a Modi 2 or even second hand Mojo or second hand Micro Idsd. Any suggestions?
EDIT: I mostly want it as a desktop dac, it does not need to be portable and it will be used with my Ember.

Thanks Oldson, I paid for this one (second hand) 110 GBP. I am not sure it is worth to send it to Ifi so they can fix it for a price.
The weird part is that I used it at home without any problem during the weekend.

Umm weird...in the weekends I have been bringing home my Ifi nano IDSD from the office. Today when I brought it back to the office, there was no sound from the left channel :-( The same problem is present using the RCA and the headphone outputs.
Any experience with similar problems using IFI products? Unfortunately, it is already out of warranty :-(
