I'm surprised you don't know about Accudio with an Ipad. Go on to apps and search Accudio.
It was designed by Golden Ears (ge) based on their meadurements and eq's headphones as close to flat as they can. Only problem is that once again, with Apple, it's an enclosed system.
I read further up that Frans found the HD800 slightly better resolving than the hd650 when filtered.

Something similar to Sonarworks but 'free' AFAIK accudio.goldenears.net/With Kameleon, is the HD 800 still a big upgrade over the HD 650? Without Kameleon I think the HD650 is better than HD800 Both improve differently on the Kameleon. The HD650 looses the midbass hump and suddenly has deep bass and top notch clarity and treble. The HD800 gains bassweigth and the extreme treble peak(s) are lowered. This means it also looses the (over)hyper detailed and super expanded stereo image which both are the direct result of the elevated treble. Tonally the HD650 is more correct on the Kameleon. But I found the HD800 on Kameleon to be more 'real' sounding and a wee bit wider in stereo image. The differences to ME isn't that big.

No. It's for Apple devices.
You can get it free via the app store.

I have the Pro version on iOS. Bought it long back. Unfortunately it doesn't work with Apple Music.

No, you have to play music from your Apple library. Download the music to your device and play it through the software. That's the biggest drawback. The Sonarworks limits you to the computer though so there are way less constrictions.
I checked it out last night actually, and it seems that it's designed for Apple phones, not Ipads!! I used it on my Touch at one time.
That's what I was getting at when I said that Apple lock everything down so access becomes limited only to them.

Most iPhone apps run just fine on the iPad. There is an option in the App Store to download iPhone apps. Exceptions like Whatsapp of course can't be downloaded on the iPad where the developer doesn't want you to have access through an iPad.

It is self explanatory. What are you having trouble with? It is a VST plugin meant to be used with software like Foobar, Jriver etc.

It's a while since I set it up Simon, but Gordon will know.
I don't want to mislead you or get it wrong. How much is it to buy now?
