Yes I had been using the E80CC long before I got the upgrade. It still is one of my favorite tubes. Just got the 6h6n tubes, what can I say, very similar to the 12bh7 and perhaps a little more open. Have to burn in for awhile, but sound stage is very nice. Large open sound.

Supercharger mod installed and currently using a RCA 12BH7A, which sounds lovely (listening to Oblivion OST).

Have been using the 6h6n tube for five days now and like it better than the 12BH7 now. Seems a little more open, clear sounding,a bit more headroom perhaps.

I can't tell you if its the same design but it looks the same as the Russian versions I have. From what I have read, most people like the Russian tubes more than the Chinese. This may be because the Russians are generally vintage models and most tube lovers prefer vintage tubes. Not long ago the 1984 Novosibirsk 6N6P (not exactly vintage, but old) was my favorite tube. Now, after adjusting for differences in volume, they all sound very good to me but I haven't done any "scientific" comparisons lately. The great thing about the 6N6P is the price however, it generally takes quite a while for the shipping.

I purchased this tube last week and love it. The 12bh7 had been my favorite up till this tube and bought a second one just to have a spare.....http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201042732353?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Nikolay will take good care of you, have been dealing with him for quite awhile and very good seller. Packaging is tops.

I do not dare to ask Jeremy because I know (or think I know) how busy he is with life. AFAIK he finished the PCB and only needs to build it and test it. For the European customers the idea was to possibly have Javier build and ship them to avoid high shipping costs and taxes.
No idea on the time table yet. Maybe Jeremy can chime in when he sees this but would have liked to see it finished as well.

Hey guys - as Frans says I just saw this. Life is very busy and we are testing the solid state pre production proto tonight. If all goes well and as planned (fingers crossed) Then production will follow very soon. As soon as that is finished up (hopefully very quick) then the linear will follow! As Frans said, just need to order boards and parts - build one up and test - Then the linear will be ready to roll

Yes. I have a couple of these I have used on my Sunrise II. Not sure how many have used them in the Ember because it would require the supercharger.
At one point it was my favorite tube. I still like it.
