does yours have the blue usb socket Ian? It's a female usb socket. Not blue, Simon. The connecting lead that comes with it is blue though. I do connect it into usb3 on my computer but usb2 is fine as well. Are the usb3 sockets on the converter? There are so many different model numbers and they all look the same .... silver boxes, it's easy to confuse them.

Excellent Simon. They are brilliant with the Senn HD650. I've been lostening a lot today and they teally get good control of the drivers. They become quite lively actually as well.
It's a great dac/amp.

I agree with what he's saying tbh. The digital section is perhaps better than the straight amp, but the amp is no slouch either. It's one of the most impressive amps I've tried Simon. You'll love it. No worries there!!

I don't get any noise, Simon. I wonder whether it has a fault? Send it back to the shop?

Which lead are you using Simon. I just pm'd you about this. Whatever way I use mine, I get no noise at all.
I connect from computer, using the blue lead into the back of the Micro. I also use the purple digital coax lead. I also use line in.
Nothing hisses or buzzes. What kind of noise are you getting?

Whatever way I use mine, I get no noise at all. im using the blue usb lead that came with the ifi from the pc. then digital coax out to my stagedac. i get a faint clicking sound pretty constantly. if i use rca out to my Ember or use the ifi's headphone out, the sound disappears. to me it must be something to do with the "combo spdif" when used as an output.
