Now I'm settled in to the new place, I had a shifty in the garage and she'd just to see what was in there!!!!
Well, I saw a keg of beer in the shed, so I broke into it, since it's my place now anyway, and you know, the beer was terrific. The guy here before me must have left it there for me but I thoroughly enjoyed this stuff and even started to see two IPads after a while!!!!!
It was a Suffolk beer called Adnams and I noticed that mini kegs are sold on the internet. It's really nice stuff. Only thing is that I couldn't get the keg into a fridge to get it nice and cold, but boy, it is really nice stuff.
I might go mad and get a load more.

I like my beer Ian and so does Alan as you can see from my tiki bar (still in progress) and I have had plenty of Adnams beers, Broadside & Gun hill both very nice beers.

YUP!!!..................in moderation. Adnams, brewery of the year a few years back............tasty stuff. Tiki Bar.................looks a little dry on the shelf Chris but I'm sure you enjoyed them all. That shed sounds inviting Ian, pity you are a little far south for an easy drop-in, perhaps we could set up a conference beer tasting on Skype orchestrated from "The Shed".

I'm not a regular beer drinker; I'm more likely to open a bottle of inexpensive French red. But I do enjoy (amongst others) an occasional Draught Guinness. And by that I meen the sort you 'energise' at home with an ultrasound generator gadget know as a 'surger'. I bought 2 dozen cans more than 2 years ago and I'm down to my last two so need to order some more. It's an excellent drink in my opinion. For those not in the know you chill the Guinness well, crack open the can and pour gently into the glasss being careful to make no froth. At this stage there is no noticeable gass in the beer. Next you place the glass on the surger unit and press the switch. The surger makes a delightful little buzzy noise and the Guinness in the glass bursts into life. This guy goes on a bit but this is from youtube... www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq9sjysalqQDerek p.s. just placed an order with Amazon UK :-)

Well, I liked the Adnams stuff so much I think I'm going to get some more. They sell it in mini kegs but that won't fit in a fridge so I might try the bottled stuff.
I like Guinness a lot as well and that's what I'd normally drink in a pub. Not fussed about cheap bitter or lager. I can see myself getting hooked on this Adnams though!!

Yes, I'll pick up a bottle or two when next in Tesco or Sainsburys. Love to try a mini cask though... maybe order one for when son(s) visit next.
In my drinks 'fridge I have had two bottles of Guinness Special Export for some months. Putting off trying it as it's 8% alcohol. Isn't that a bit too strong for a beer?

They look rather nice Dave. I'l be turning into a right boozer thanks to this place!! I'm not particularly a fan of Theakston's across the board but the Old Peculier is very very nice IMHO. Many of the major supermarkets sell it so not too difficult for even a hardened southern beer fan to try it. A few of them and you'll sleep on a clothes line . Dave.

if you put it in the fridge you may not like it as much. i have drunk bottled ales for years and the only one i like fridge cold is badger's golden glory. try it its great cold . but the rest i have tried i prefer at room temp.
