I agree. It's starting to sound <hah> like either a latency or buffer issue. If you see a "USB streaming mode" option anywhere, try using "safe". Originally, I couldn't use my X3 as DAC without god-awful amounts of noise/clicks on any setting other than safe Also, are you using a dedicated USB driver? The stock Windows installed driver could be causing issues where should i look for "usb streaming mode" ?

Good for you! If those USB snake-charmers don't charm, ship them off to the audio circus. Have you tried different USB ports? Did you run the DPC latency utility above I linked? Also... did you wear a mask while listening? An ear mask. ;-) i have not tried it yet. if i have foobar settings correct for bit perfect, will this still be required?

really sorry you are struggling mate. there is never a good time to be ill but , with all the anxiety around at the moment, you probably picked the worse time.
have you tried ruling out possible "triggers" from your diet, like caffeine, alcohol, chocolate (especially dark) and spicy food? this is what i had to do at the start of my arrhythmia issues. stress and viruses also are known triggers, but not so easy to control. also exercising too much can do it.
i assume the doctors have given you things to try to stop an episode when it starts? i was advised on the following....... "bearing down" as you do when on the toilet (believe it or not) submerging face in really cold water. i was also given a large syringe to blow into. sometimes these methods work and sometimes not. hope they get you sorted soon mate.

This was two days before shutdown actually. London was very empty compared to what it is normally. I had a heart scan in a specialist hospital and they only let small numbers of people in. I phoned the day before to check that they were working. On the tube, people didn’t sit close. I think London has the highest incidence in the UK though. Not surprising given how many people live there. We’re being told that the peak might be in two or three weeks. UK is virtually closed down now. luckily for me, i never have to go to london now! i really dont like busy cities at all. thankfully i live in a small village and i suppose marginally safer. this week has been difficult to self isolate and i have a week and half to go. i really cannot wait to get back to work. are you ok ,Ian?

well i have decided to send my iusb3 nano packing! it seems to have no noticeable effect over pc usb straight into the DS2 digital, in fact it adds a hiss (although far above safe listening levels).
have seen one of these units sell on ebay for 200 quid within last week or so, so hoping for the same!
i must admit i have become confused by all the usb "fixers" available from ifi audio lately.
i am still getting these clicks every 20seconds or so, but its only audible on quiet tracks.
the iusb3 nano makes no difference, whatsoever, so its going.
i could live with the clicks but pretty sure i will find a solution at some point.

oh and i read somewhere earlier that if we go on lockdown, it will not be considered essential to go out and buy food!! REALLY . so what do those of us who have not stockpiled do? go online and order a delivery!! waste of time from what i have heard. i know someone who uses ocado for home deliveries = 5-6 day wait!!!

I live about 15 miles West of Madrid. It is a suburban area where most houses have big gardens and thick & tall hedges for privacy so it is a bit of a ghost place all year round. Other than cars passing by there is not much life on the streets but even this has been drastically reduced and it can be hours without hearing a car. I had never been forced to stay home and after a few days it starts to get really boring. Theoretically we canot even go out for a stroll which might make sense in the city but not here because there is no one to infect or get the virus from. I hope this doesn't last more than 3 weeks, it is being terrible for the country. Other than the high death toll, many are starting to lose their jobs due to their companies having to close. Looks like we are following Italy in most numbers wiyh a 10 day delay. pretty sure its gonna go on a lot longer than 3 weeks, Javier. i see france is on lockdown from midday tomorrow. its only a matter of time before we all are. the stockpilers will be ok with this, but those of us who have followed advice may not! its not a great year 2020.

Only you can decide if the hiss is annoying. If it's a such a low level, then you might consider it bonus dither, but without enough noise-shaping. Have you tried SPDIF yet? only from my oppo universal player, and its fine.

i have been using an ifi iusb3.0 nano for some time, even with my old idsd. tonight i have noticed , with nothing playing and all amp volumes up to max, the iusb3 seems to add a large amount of hiss (except from my new project unit. so my violectric v200 and ember both hiss in this situation. now i know its way beyond listening levels but does this mean i should ditch the iusb3?
if i plug pc usb straight into the project, both it and the v200 are totally silent at max volume. the ember, only a slight hiss.
the pop every 20 sec is there regardless.
i wish i still had my old hiface2 to try out now.

having just shipped out my ifi micro idsd and replaced it with a pro-ject DS2 digital , i am now having some minor issues with usb playback. basically a pop/click every 20 seconds or so, but not both channels.
from my pc my usb first goes to my ifi nano iusb3.0 and then to my dac. now , as i understand it, the micro idsd had the "original" ipurifier built in. so i am now thinking that adding an external ipurifier should rectify my noise issues.
trouble is after reading the spec from ifi's website on ipurifier 1 and 2 plus the spec of the nano iusb3, i cannot work out what the differences are. do i need both?

never bought this with the intention of using the hpa. curiosity got the better of me and i'm currently listening to my DT770pro/250 and it is pretty darn good. plenty of power, i'm listening at approx 1/3 vol and its borderline too loud. certainly does not sound like the usual "token gesture" hpa found on many amps. also there is a set of line in rca's so i can try with Kameleon at some point. just tested my denon 2000 and the DS2 is pretty good with the higher sensitivity . both my V200 and Ember are picking up noise with the denon's from my pc at full volume. the DS2 is totally silent, but maybe the unit is amping the noise out of the rca's to the other amps?

finally ousted my ifi micro with one of these. technically its a step back regarding spec for the dac section vs the ifi, but i hear little (if any difference) with my set-up. its also same story on the analogue side of things, my schiit mani is now on ebay. only drawback so far is an audible click every 20 seconds or so on usb playback. its only really evident on quiet tracks, but still something i wish to address. will have to try coax input just in case its the switch mode psu and not the usb (having said that, it didnt happen on vinyl playback, so guess it must be a usb issue) anyway , very pleased so far. rrp is £695 for these. i paid £450 for this one that is a month old.
