Using medical/surgical cotton wool can be also good ? I ask because it's easier to find.

Thanks. So it's all over the place, i wasn't sure about that.
There no harm on use double tape for fix it, where is no felt, or that may cause some strange reflection and it's better to just leave it loose ?

Adding another question for Solderdude, it's possible to have a picture of the amount of wool you have put in them ? There's none in the PDF.

I ordered these ebay-Pads: r.ebay.com/nM5VJnI don´t know if these are the correct ones.. But as far as I understand the ebay pads have to be velours? About chinese ebay-pads, Solderdude was talking about this pair or this ones, on HD681 Evo's PDF

plus the Velours pads are not included. It's strange that on 687's page they say "velvet ear pads" and if you search between Superlux products they say "synthetic leather ear pads". Anyway, there is no additional "and 1 pair of velour pads". Maybe Superlux do that because now Thomann sell the pads as well.

I'm starting to thinking about the mods needed for the 688. I have found around some 2mm thick dens felt sell as a material for ***ing. It's the type of material needed for tame the reflections inside the cups ? The wool advised need to be placed and fixed somewhere with something, like double sided tape ? EDIT: why the censorship ? I was saying:

Especially when compared to the modded 662 Evo, the modded 687 sounds recessed in the midtones. The bass has a lot of distortion and sounds "fat". Jazz is almost unpleasant to listen to because it emphasizes the bass there a lot. Have you try to cover that hole with tape and see what happen ? Sound more like the 681 Evo, you can also try to see what solderdude did on them for balancing the bass.

The description on their site is somewhat weird HD687 Very suitable for classic music appreciation HD688 Excellent sound quality Maybe the stock HD687 is still tuned to be thinner in the bass performance.

On the official page ? Into the accessories's section they recommend their amplifiers, so the HA40 and the HA3D. The HD-687 is also on Thomann: www.thomann.de/superlux_hd_687.htm59-60€, price change by a couple of euros changing the store. I like the price. Is what i was expecting, keeping in mind the limits of the construction. For now i wait for the 688

www.shanghai-show-daily.com/fileadmin/MesseSSD2017/pdf/SSD11102017.pdfIt's a recap from Prolight+ Sound. Page 26: Not the same driver as HD687/688, but same driver's dimension, sensitivity and impedance as the HD662 Evo. Can be a hint ? Superlux normally talk about more wide FR. I know, i know, don't mean nothing, but they usually say 10-30kHz on almost everything. Maybe they want to clarify a difference between this kind of products and HD687/688, said to be more "high fidelity" by them. I'm starting to be afraid of how may cost the 688
