Just find this on instagram: http://instagr.am/p/BaNoUM8DNR_ No specs around for now, but three models. Normal pair is closed, HDB have bluetooth and 671NC seem to have active noise canceling.

I expect these headphones to be a lot more expensive than the HD662-EVO types Are you that sure ? Dunno... even with that driver's quality we are talking about the same construction and the semi-open version seem also discontinued*. They can place them on the market alongside the 662, but looking the same plastic thing, it's difficult to sold them at a lot higher price. 10€-20€ more ? Maybe, but double price or even more, dunno... it seem wrong to me. I can also add that the less newer HD581 is pricier on Thomann, but not on Gearbest. *checking for the HD688 on Gearbest i have see the 681EVO marked as discontinued. Actually they are marked as "out of stock"

I know the pre-production I measured differed somewhat from the production model I measured later (with felt disc). Regarding this, when the two next models coming out, you plan to order both and measure if they are equal to the prototypes ?

From the official site, the upcoming exhibitions are on mid October. Shanghai Prolight + Sound and then Hong Kong HKTDC. I hope they consider to release the two newer models (688-687) in that time.

They are probably not in the same league. Anyway, they are labeled as studio monitor, with 30mm driver but bigger enclosure than usual on-ear ( 7cm vs 5-5,5 ).
Even if they are discontinued, i have still found them in some european site, one from UK and one from Italy.

There something that keep refrain me from buying one of these two. The PortaPro temple pads seem horrible to me, as i suffer enough migraine headache without, and i have no need to lose more hair than i already have seen falling away Aside from this, there is the fake probability problem, even if purchased on Amazon. The PX100-2 is another story. Some people consider them veiled, more dark, with recessed treble and prefer the older model or the Koss. And they cost more. Maybe buy a KSC75 and modding them is a better choice, and they cost less, but thinking about budget, any of these options are sonically comparable to a modded bigger Superlux, like the 662 Evo ? They don't seem, but as i said in the HD572-SP thread, these kind of lightweight headphone are easier to use for longer than a full and over ear headphone. But even with heating problem ( summer is coming ), lightweight on ear seem more like a sidekick to me, for when it's better to have comfort than quality, but the PortaPro is comfortable ? The clamping force of PX100-2 is too much ? And the hooks of the KSC75 ? Dunno, even portability don't seem really something to consider, with earbuds and IEMs around. So... what to do ? Even knowing these two better option exist, my old walkman headphone ( Sony MDR-101 ) is still there, after falling thousand times, and changing cheap cushion one after another ...maybe i can start to buy an HD572A ( at worst i gift them ), as i was saying in the other thread.

Thanks for the offer, but i already see your review of the SP and i'm not interested in them. Also, i use my old lightweight on-ear mostly because bigger over-ear tend to get too warm on me, on longer usage, so i prefer to buy something with simpler and thin foam cushion. The HD572A have them, like Koss Pro, PX-100 and others... ...but i don't know if they sound well.

I was considering to buy a new lightweight on-ear headphone and i know that Koss and Senn PX-100/2 are recommended. Searching around i have found a cheap Superlux model, now discontinued, previous to the 572-SP: the 572A, that was sold alongside the 572.
Anyone have tried them ?

I asked because as IEM's i have a pair of Rock Zircon and i was wondering if the newer Superlux IEM are better. Well... i don't think they are. Now that i can directly compare them, i think that the Zircons feels more alive in the high and with a lot better bass ( punchier and fuller, even if i find that too much, without EQ ). To me, the HD387 sound softer, easy to listen, relaxing but less addictive and enjoyable. Even if the Zircons are considered v-shaped, comparing them, the 387's mids feels to me just a little more forward an pronounced. In regard to the curly earhooks, probably it is subjective ad depends on the size. With my ears, they seem stable, on the right place, and the material is soft. Zircons are much comfortable, anyway. So... well... they are ok. Build-wise the Zircons also have better construction ad tips, and they are cheaper but... dunno, are the Zircon to much cheap for what they offer or the HD387 cost is, relatively, to much ( 20-25€ ) ?
